Golf Club is open to all players!

The Shropshire Masonic Golf Society has an enjoyable calendar of events open to all golfers - not just club members with impressive handicaps (although these are welcomed too, especially for the inter-Provincial competitions!!!). If you play golf please find the time to read the message from Mike Charles below, and hopefully support one or more of the Society's events. To register interest, please contact Mike or Dave Hedley using the links below.

From Mike Charles:              Brethren all,

The Shropshire Masonic Golf Society plays about six events during the summer months. We are 4 players at least short for the match v. Worcestershire at Bromsgrove G.C. 10th. Aug. 2017. If you can help, please contact Dave Hedley.

Events are played off a golf handicap, but we have last year widened this limit. If you are a member of a golf club then that is the handicap you need to play off. If you are not a member of a Golf Club and only play a relatively few games of golf any year, then membership of the Society may still be for you.

The subscription is £20 annually from the 1st January 2018. Golf events are charged at a society rate for golf plus a 2 course meal and £38 is a good guide price. The only optional extras are your travelling costs, drinks, and maybe £5 into the raffle.

With regards to a handicap, each of you knows where you are roughly when you play golf with regards to a handicap, and we can reach an agreement on that basis.

The Golf Society exists to promote Brotherhood and fraternity within Freemasonry but we have events open to non-Masons. We also aim to support Masonic charities through having fun!

Please Google Shropshire Masonic Golf for the details, or click here.

Yours sincerely and fraternally,

W.Bro.Mike Charles, joint organiser with W Bro Dave Hedley
